Juventus are reportedly monitoring the progress of 17-year-old Swiss striker Winsley Boteli with an intention of bringing him over to Turin for the start of the 2024-25 season.

Boteli is currently registered to Bundesliga side Borussia Moenchengladbach, where he plays for the club’s affiliated U19 team.

The teenager is the current leading goalscorer in the U19 Bundesliga, with 12 goals from his first 11 appearances in the 2023-24 campaign.

Gladbach were able to bring Boteli in from Swiss side Servette last season, handing the youngster his first ever professional contract, which expires in the summer of 2025.

As per recent reports from Fabrizio Romano, Boteli has recently changed agents, a possible indication that he could be thinking about a move in the near future.

Calciomercato.com reports that Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is a big fan of Boteli’s, and that he would like to bring in more players of his profile. Giuntoli’s vision is to bring in more young players at a lower cost, who could then be developed further in-house in Turin.

Juve recently had an opportunity to watch Boteli in person, when their youth side met Borussia Moenchengladbach in the 2023 Future Cup tournament organised by Ajax, where he finished as the competition’s top scorer.

Calciomercato have drawn comparisons to current Bianconeri striker Moise Kean and have likened his potential to that of former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.
