Juventus are sending scouts to view Sao Paulo defender Rodrigo Caio in the Copa Libertadores.
The 22-year-old Brazilian is seen as a potential investment until Claudio Marchisio can return from anterior cruciate ligament surgery in six months.
He plays as a centre-back, but can also do a good job at right-back or in central midfield, allowing him to fill various gaps when needed.
Caio also has an Italian passport, so would not be considered a non-EU player.

According to the latest reports, Juventus have sent scouts to watch Rodrigo Caio in action in tonight’s Copa Libertadores game against The Strongest in La Paz.
“We won’t sign a specific replacement for Marchisio, but rather we will sign an eclectic midfielder with different qualities,” explained Juve director Beppe Marotta yesterday.
