Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus will face off against Arsenal and Barcelona in friendlies during the six-week World Cup break.

With the last round of Serie A games taking place on the weekend, the league has started it’s six-week break for the upcoming tournament in Qatar, giving Italian clubs the chance to gather their breath after a busy start to the season and recover their injured players. A number of teams are planning training retreats for next month and friendlies are starting to be scheduled.

As detailed by Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus have scheduled friendlies with Arsenal on December 17 in London and Barcelona on December 22 in Turin.

The two games allows Allegri to keep the players who didn’t travel off to Qatar for the World Cup in a good match fitness ahead of the return of Serie A on January 4. Juventus’ first game back after the break is against Cremonese.

Milan will also face off against Arsenal in a friendly in Dubai on December 13.

  1. Couldn’t you schedule against some Serie C sides to build up momentum, confidence, and actually try out some movements?
