Juventus are eyeing up more future free agents and cheap veterans to bolster their squad, including Antoine Griezmann, Marco Asensio and Christian Pulisic, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Bianconeri are trying to save money and cut costs going forward, as today’s Board of Directors meeting confirmed the club needs to rein in spending.

This is done with a two-fold approach, bringing more youth players through from their academy and also bringing in veterans on the cheap with free transfers.

Angel Di Maria and Paul Pogba were this season’s examples, while the Gazzetta dello Sport points towards more similar profiles in future.

That includes 31-year-old France international Griezmann, who joined Atletico Madrid from Barcelona in 2021 on a two-year loan with option to buy.

According to the Italian paper, Atleti are keeping his appearances relatively under control because they don’t want to make that option into an obligation to buy.

Real Madrid talent Asensio is under contract until June 2023 and has made only four competitive appearances so far this summer.

As for Pulisic, the United States international was purchased by Chelsea for €64m, but his contract expires in June 2024 and he has dropped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

Other areas that need improvement are in defence, keeping track of Benfica left-back Grimaldo and Tottenham-owned Sergio Reguilon.

  1. Pulisic is not a veteran but will sure be made to look like one if you let him near the Allegrisaurus Rex. Asensio is still too young for Blitzkrieg in the bunker Max. As for the Frenchman, he looks past his best. No better place to then head to as the 7/9 absolutely love giving out long term deals with big time money. Tik tok Paul can help him out with how to get that deal.

  2. Wow he lives rent free in your head. Shush or he will start demanding a fee and rightfully so as you are clearly triggered.
