Matthijs de Ligt was back in training with Juventus today and should be available for the match against Zenit St Petersburg.

The Bianconeri defender missed the match against Roma due to an adductor problem, but Calciomercato.com reports he was back in training with the rest of the group today.

Tomorrow, Juventus play Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League and the Dutch defender carried out instrumental tests yesterday.

The scans at J|Medical excluded any serious injuries and he was back in action with Max Allegri’s team today.

The 22-year-old, capped 31 times by the Netherlands, has played 83 competitive games since joining the Bianconeri in July 2019.

He played in the two wins against Malmö FF and Chelsea in the Champions League and has appeared six times in the League this term, scoring the winner in a 3-2 win against Spezia in September.

Juventus are unbeaten in seven games in all competitions and have yet to concede in the Champions League this term.

  1. I dont think he is overrated but definitely overpaid. Apparently he has a 150m buyout clause so I am okay with him leaving at that amount.
