Serie B side Palermo have officially signed Filippo Ranocchia from Juventus, so the Bianconeri can finalise the signature of Tiago Djalo.

Palermo confirmed the permanent purchase of Juventus midfielder Ranocchia on Thursday morning. The 22-year-old midfielder spent the first part of the season on loan at Empoli but has now left the Tuscans to move to Sicily.

It’s reported to be a permanent €3.5m transfer, which allows Juventus to raise funds to get Tiago Djalo from Lille.

The Portuguese centre-back and his club, Lille, have reached an agreement with the Old Lady, and the 23-year-old is expected in Turin in the coming days to undergo his medical with the Serie A giants.

Djalo was expected in Italy between Tuesday and Wednesday this week, but Juventus had to wait a few more days as they needed to sell Ranocchia first for financial reasons.

Gazzetta has reported that Djalo will land in Turin next week, but from now on, any day could see the Portuguese defender arrive to complete a permanent move to Juventus.
