Multiple sources claim that Juventus made an approach for Fiorentina veteran Giacomo Bonaventura, while Udinese also rejected their Lazar Samardzic proposal.

The suggestion was made by Calciomercato.it, Sportitalia and Sky Sport Italia, all of whom confirmed that the unlikely offer for Bonaventura was made.

Bonaventura is 34 years old and his contract with Fiorentina runs to the end of the season, but there are clauses to extend for one more year if certain conditions are met.

According to Sportitalia, it was Max Allegri who personally called Bonaventura in a bid to convince him to make the move to Turin.

The bid included Fabio Miretti on loan and preferential route towards Matias Soule for next summer, but Fiorentina were not interested.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio also suggests that Juventus asked Udinese for Roberto Pereyra or Samardzic on loan without an option to buy.

Again, the door was slammed shut before negotiations could even really begin.
