La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Juventus would make a move for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer should Adrien Rabiot leave on a free transfer.

The 28-year-old Serbian midfielder is entering the final year of his contract with Lazio and is not interested in penning a new deal, pushing the club to find buyers for this summer’s transfer window. His price tag is around €30-35m, but his contract situation leaves the Biancocelesti on shaky ground.

Juventus have long been fans of Milinkovic-Savic but were often pushed away by his price tag, something that shouldn’t be an obstacle this summer. Inter are also reportedly interested in the 28-year-old, but are seemingly focusing their efforts on Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi.

As detailed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Rabiot’s departure would prompt Juventus to make a serious move for Milinkovic-Savic, finally reading to add the star Serb to Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.

The Bianconeri could include some players in exchange to lower the costs of the deal, like Luca Pellegrini or Nicolo Rovella.

Rabiot has still not decided whether or not to pen a new deal with Juventus but a decision will be made soon, with his contract expiring in less than a fortnight.

  1. Rovella must not be sold. Idiotic move if this happens. Let them keep Pellegrini and the rest as cash.

  2. he’s a good player, maybe too similar to pogba,we do need to get rid off mckennie asap , figure if rabiott wamts to sign a new contract, however he will have a headache with the youngsters – fagioli, rovella, miretti – as he needs to give them playing time to develop
