Juventus hopes of signing Nahitan Nandez are falling rapidly, as the reports are growing that Cagliari and the Uruguay international won’t accept these terms.

Sportitalia and Gazzetta dello Sport pundit Alfredo Pedullà had warned the matter was getting complicated, now Sky Sport Italia, Goal.com and more back that up.

The transfer deadline is tomorrow, so there simply isn’t time to resolve the issues.

Juventus find Nandez terms tricky to agree with Cagliari

This is hardly the first time the situation has developed around Nandez, as a similar issue occurred with Inter last summer and in the January window before that.

Cagliari paid €17m to get Nandez from Boca Juniors and still owe the Argentines a cut of his sell-on fee, so they will refuse to let him leave on the cheap.

Much like in previous occasions, the club wants guarantees rather than a loan with option to buy and the player isn’t interested in a short-term switch either.

Over the last few years, Nandez has also been close to Leeds United, but again no deal was struck.
