Juventus are reportedly ready to battle Roma for Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria, who should play when Switzerland face Italy at the Olimpico.
Tuttosport reports the Bianconeri are interested in the Swiss midfielder and will get a chance to watch the 24-year-old during the match between Italy and Switzerland this week.
Zakaria has been linked with a move to Jose Mourinho’s Giallorossi in recent weeks, but Max Allegri is reportedly ready to enter the chase to reinforce the midfield at the Allianz Stadium.
The former Young Boys player, capped 38 times by Switzerland, has played nine times in the German Bundesliga this term.
Zakaria’s contract with Gladbach expires in June 2022 and could enter talks with other clubs already in January.
The report claims the German side could consider selling already this winter, to avoid losing the player on a free transfer next summer.
Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni and Borussia Dortmund veteran Axel Witsel have been mentioned as possible alternatives.
