Nico has already agreed to personal terms with the Old Lady and is ready to sign a €3.5m-a-year contract.

Club directors Cristiano Giuntoli (Juventus) and Daniele Pradé (Fiorentina) met in Forte dei Marmi (Tuscany) on Sunday to finalise the deal. Giuntoli did not follow the team to Sweden, where Thiago Motta’s side lost 2-0 against Atletico Madrid.

According to both newspapers, Juventus and Fiorentina are also discussing more potential deals.

Weston McKennie, Arthur or Filip Kostic could move to Florence from Turin, but any of these deals will be separate from Nico’s transfer.

Fiorentina already signed Italy international Moise Kean from Juventus this summer.
