Reports in Italy claim that Juventus have reached an agreement to sign Nico Gonzalez from Fiorentina for €30m, but the Tuscans must sign a replacement before sending the Argentinean to Turin.

Nico Gonzalez is on the verge of joining Juventus from Fiorentina for circa €30m.

La Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Corriere dello Sport claim that the two clubs have already shaken hands, but Fiorentina want to sign Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa before giving the green light.

Nico has already agreed to personal terms with the Old Lady and is ready to sign a €3.5m-a-year contract.

Club directors Cristiano Giuntoli (Juventus) and Daniele Pradé (Fiorentina) met in Forte dei Marmi (Tuscany) on Sunday to finalise the deal. Giuntoli did not follow the team to Sweden, where Thiago Motta’s side lost 2-0 against Atletico Madrid.

According to both newspapers, Juventus and Fiorentina are also discussing more potential deals.

Weston McKennie, Arthur or Filip Kostic could move to Florence from Turin, but any of these deals will be separate from Nico’s transfer.

Fiorentina already signed Italy international Moise Kean from Juventus this summer.
