Juventus have reportedly raised their offer to Memphis Depay as they look to beat out competition from Chelsea for the Barcelona forward.

The Bianconeri are desperately looking to add a new centre forward to their squad following the departure of Alvaro Morata last month. Despite Massimiliano Allegri’s insistence, an agreement for the Spaniard’s return couldn’t be reached with Atletico Madrid, forcing the club to pursue other targets.

Depay quickly emerged as a target but reports today suggested that Chelsea were interested in picking up the Dutchman, who is on the way out of Barcelona.

Gianluca Di Marzio details how Juventus have raised their contract offer to Depay in a bid to reach an agreement and beat out the interested Chelsea. The 28-year-old Dutch striker is currently working on a severance agreement with Barcelona, allowing him to join a new club.

Depay will reportedly be offered a two-year contract and the Old Lady are hoping to finalise things sooner rather than later.

  1. We are desperate for a CF but we basically bought Kean back.. morata wasn’t very effective and we still have dead money in Arthur.. Juve need to sell before buying or else they will constantly have money porblems

  2. At this point they need someone and it is the best out of the worst I suppose.

  3. Raspadori would be good but I would still take Memphis. What is going on with Kean? Is he ever going to settle down? He was wasted at a terrible Everton, did well enough at PSG but I don’t think he will ever hold down a first team place at Juve. There is potential there but his career is on a Balotelli projectory.
