Matthijs de Ligt’s agent Mino Raiola provides further updates over the future of Matthijs de Ligt, saying that Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG could be the clubs interested in signing the Juventus defender.

The 22-year-old sees his contract expire in June 2024, but from next summer, he’ll have a €150m clause included in his contract.

His agent Raiola said that the former Ajax man is ‘ready for a new step’ beyond Juventus, suggesting that the defender could leave Turin at the end of the season after a three-year spell in Turin.

Chelsea, Tottenham, Barcelona: who could sign Juventus defender De Ligt?

Raiola provided new updates on the defender’s future in a fresh interview with NOS, quoted by Tuttomercatoweb.

The Italian agent was asked if Premier League clubs are the only ones who can afford the defender’s release clause, but Raiola replied: “Perhaps, even Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG.”

De Ligt has played 94 goals in Turin, scoring six goals.

He has won one Serie A title, one Coppa Italia and one Italian SuperCup during his stay at the Allianz Stadium.

  1. Never justified the investment. Bring 150 and go wherever…
I think we could find a decent replacement with such money

  2. Barcelona? Lol with 1 MRd debts? Even Inbter could afford him more than Uefalona. Football Italia journalism xD

  3. its nothing to do with football italia journalism. its what he said about barcelona can afford de light in fact he also said barcelona one of the club who can afford haarland too. and also he said barcelona will come within 2 years times stronger than ever. i dont know what medicine he drank but clearly barcelona debt not gonna gone by 2 years.

  4. FABIO PARATICI, yeah u are right. Dont know why Barca is always mentioned even if they play Europe League and have 1 Mrd in debts. But yeah, Raiola logic. IF we can get vhalovic, milenkovic and Pogba it is a good deal. Like the zidane money, where we had bought Nedved, Thuram and Buffon.

  5. He is not a world class defender, when you pay $70M for a defender you would expect the new Cannavaro or Thuram but he was not even half a Bonnucci who is not the smartest defender out there. I do not want to count handballs/penalties he committed in the past two seasons

Yeah I agree bring 150M and take him anywhere you want Raiola.

  6. Lazy journalism just throwing in Barcelona for the sake of it. They have no money and will need to build up through La Masia as they should have done many years ago. I can only see him leaving for the premier league or perhaps Bayern, maybe even PSG. Grab the money and rebuild the team.

  7. Yes please – take the 150M and use it to rebuild the spine of the team. Selling Zidane at 29 helped us bring in the world’s greatest keeper in Buffon, one of the best CBs to play in Serie A (Thuram) and a player who would become a Ballon D’or winner with Juve (Nedved). De Ligt has been good but not outstanding and certainly not worth the $12M per season he earns.

  8. PSG, a circus team, Barcelona, now a regular team full of debt, RM who? De Ligt is a young player who has done exceptionally well considering the revolving door of coaches and players that Juve has become in recent years. Rebuild the team, lol. Dumb they’ve been trying to rebuild the team for years now. They lack an identity and don’t play as a team but many here think you can just buy a few players like a Ronaldo and it will create a winning team instantly, wrong and that kind of shallow thinking is prevalent in their management also. Juve can’t score goals and that’s their main problem and their are many reasons for that beyond just 1 but after cr7 left, its painfully obvious, he was just covering over their inherent problems.
