The Kaio Jorge situation becomes increasingly complex, with reports Benfica have a deal with Santos, the player wants Milan and Juventus make a formal offer.
The 19-year-old is only under contract until December 31, so could leave as a free agent in January.
That is what Milan would appear to be counting on, as they won’t raise their offer above €3m, whereas Santos want €10m.
They know that they’ve already agreed personal terms with the striker and hope he will wait for them.
Benfica, on the other hand, are ready to pay the €10m, but Kaio Jorge has his heart set on Serie A and seems set to snub the Portuguese club.
According to Sportitalia, Juventus have today sent a formal proposal to Santos, hoping to take advantage of the stasis by working on both club and player.
It’s reported the Bianconeri transmitted the paperwork confirming they want to reach an agreement with Kaio Jorge and would like the opportunity to discuss personal terms.
That could mean just confirmation they want to sign him as a free agent, seeing as he’s in the final six months of his contract.
There are suggestions Juve are offering just €1m for his transfer fee, while Milan won’t go above €3m.
He scored six goals in 10 caps for Brazil at Under-17 level and will turn 20 in January.
