Juventus are ready to offer star midfielder Adrien Rabiot improved terms in his new contract in an attempt to keep the French international in Turin beyond the end of the season, but his stay also depends on Champions League football.

Rabiot, who currently earns around €7m per year, is out of contract in the summer and the renewal of his deal has been viewed as a top priority for the Juve hierarchy in the summer.

His turnaround of form has issued a reminder that things can change quickly in football, particularly given that many would have been happy to see Rabiot leave the club less than a year ago.

Now, according to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve are willing to offer an annual salary of €10m plus bonuses in order to keep the 27-year-old in Turin.

However, nothing is set to be signed until the end of the season, with Rabiot reportedly holding out for a guarantee of Champions League football next year.

Rabiot will turn 28 before the end of this campaign and has a desire to continue playing at the highest possible level.

There is still a hope that even with a -15 point deduction, Juve will be able to mount a comeback and finish the season in the Serie A top four.

Rabiot ranks second among all midfielders in the league for goals scored this season with seven and ranks second for goal conversion among players in his position this year.

Relations between the club and his agent-mother Veronique remain positive and Juve are confident that they will be able to convince the player to stay with them and not leave for Free at the expiry of his current deal at the end of June.
