Nicolò Zaniolo is Juventus‘ primary target for the summer, but according to Tuttosport, the Old Lady would need to sell Weston McKennie to afford the Italy and Roma starlet.

Zaniolo is a long-time target of the Bianconeri who had tried to secure his services several times in the past. According to Tuttosport, Zaniolo was close to joining the Old Lady when he was playing for Entella, but Inter eventually managed to secure his services.

Although José Mourinho has ensured that the Italy international won’t leave as long as he stays at the club, Juventus are reportedly preparing an offer to sign the talented midfielder in the summer.

However, the Turin-based paper reports that two conditions must be met if the Serie A giants are to sign Zaniolo. The first is to qualify for the Champions League, and the second is to sell one of their midfielders, possibly Weston McKennie.

The USMNT international has ‘several admirers’ in the Premier League and Juventus are looking for a big-money sale in England. Nevertheless, McKennie could also be an option for the Giallorossi, so Juventus could potentially offer the 23-year-old in a player-plus-cash swap deal to get Zaniolo.

  1. Agreed. Wes is growing and is developing into that 2-way mid that’s a presence in the box. Adds much more value than the French guy however on the same token, probably why Juve wants to flip him to some overpaying English club to maximize on the return.

That said do we really want zaniolo? Often injured and a bit of a head case. Why do we want him???

  2. As much as I agree about Rabiot needing to find another club instead of McKennie but both players have different footballing characteristics and Zaniolo is more similar to McKennie than Rabiot. Both players are playing in a more offensive role compared to Rabiot.

I think Rabiot will leave if Pogba or another big-name in midfield joins

  3. Zaniolo is a very good player but needs to calm down and return to the ways he was when he first started to play for Roma. He was very unlucky in getting two very bad injuries and yet has come back strong so hopefully he will remain injury free.

  4. This would be a great move, I do not worry too much about his temperament, Juve will knock that out of him and he’ll mature; he’s a terrific player and a risk worth taking. I wouldn’t sacrifice McKennie for him though, especially as he’s showing signs of improvement. If anything it should be Bernadeschi or Rabiot that make way for Zaniolo in my opinion.

  5. Debu
not really. But if this is true, then that is a bad replacement. We need to get rid of Rabiot and Ramsey. They’re just like an anchor on the neck of Agnelli.

  6. McKennie isnincreibly fas improving, would be nice to avoid selling him. Best option is to sell our inreplaceble fantastic first team midfielder Adrien Rabiot for newcastle for 50 millions and thats can be good deal
