According to Sky Sport Italia and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are not convinced about loaning Dejan Kulusevski to Milan and would rather send the Sweden international to Arsenal.

Kulusevski could leave Juventus in the January transfer window with Milan, Everton and Arsenal reportedly interested in loaning the former Parma and Atalanta starlet.

Sky Sport Italia and Gazzetta confirm the Rossoneri are interested in the 21-year-old, but the Old Lady would prefer to send the player abroad.

Milan are among Juventus’ rivals for a top-four finish, so the Bianconeri fear they would reinforce the Rossoneri by loaning Kulusevski.

The versatile winger is not a regular starter under Massimiliano Allegri, having played 972 minutes across all competitions.

Kulusevski has scored two goals in 27 appearances this season.

Juventus are also in talks with Arsenal for Arthur, but according to The Athletic, the Gunners board have decided against loaning the Brazilian for 18 months with an option to buy for circa €40m.

3 thought on “Juventus prefer Arsenal to Milan for Kulusevski loan”
  1. I feel like Juve have thrived on versatile players in recent years but for some reason they don’t want to utilise DK. It has felt like they wanted to get rid of him from 6 months after they bought him

  2. Chris, you’re right that they have been reluctant to use him. I think even when he played for Pirlo, he sometimes displayed a lack of awareness and suspect decision making, but he is only 21. Another ‘versatile’ player, Bernadeschi, suffers with the same weaknesses and is older and more experienced, but for some reason he’s position seems safe as long as he lowers his salary, yet Kulu has far better stats than Berna. For this reason, I’m not sold on Kulu leaving just yet, whilst keeping Bernadeschi. It’s Allegri’s job to also develop young players and improve them, but he just seems uninterested in doing this and just gives up on them, yet keeps playing dross like Rabbiot, Sandro and Bentancur.
