Juventus are the current frontrunners to sign Buducnost Podgorica and Montenegro teenager Vasilije Adzic in the summer transfer window according to reports on Thursday.

The 17-year-old is considered to be a diamond in the rough and is the sort of profile of player the Bianconeri would like to target under sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli.

Adzic has a contract in his native Montenegro which runs until the summer of 2025, meaning he will have just one year left on his deal when the summer transfer window comes into effect at the end of the current season.

Despite his young age, Adzic is practically a guaranteed starter in Podgorica and has chipped in with three goals from 14 league appearances so far this campaign.

He is also the second youngest goalscorer in the history of the Montenegrin first division.

Giuntoli has reportedly already been following Adzic since he was 15. The Juve director had been considering a move while he was at Napoli before his switch to the Allianz Stadium.

High praise has also come in from Buducnost Podgorica’s sporting director Andrija Delibasic, who, as per Calciomercato, says: “Along with (Stefan) Jovetic, he is the best thing to come out of Montenegrin football in the last 15 years.”

According to updates on Thursday, Juventus are plotting a move for the summer transfer window, but are also considering allowing him to leave on an immediate loan.
