Juventus are desperate to pick up a new full back in January and are reportedly looking to sign Atalanta’s Joakim Maehle.

The 25-year-old Danish left back, who is equally as comfortable playing on the right side of the defence, is currently in Qatar with his national team, competing at the World Cup. Maehle has looked strong for Atalanta this season and has carried his good form to Qatar, helping Denmark try to escape a group containing France, Tunisia and Australia.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have been keeping a close eye on Maehle this season and are planning to submit a loan offer for the Atalanta full back in January.

The Bianconeri’s plan is to offer a loan deal with a €15m buy option attached and they’re gearing up for talks with the Bergamo club.

Maehle joined Atalanta in January 2021 from KRC Genk in a deal worth around €13.7m. Since his arrival, the Dane has scored three goals and provided five assists in 74 appearances.

  1. get pedro porro from sporting, young, brilliant wing back, has resale value in him, as guardiolo wants him

  2. @Pavlovic – he’s that young really tall cb – wont wanna take a risk to get him, rather let a mid club get him first

  3. Its can be different price later, I already see Vidic confidence in him and already saw our interest rumours in him earlier, now see he is worth attention
