Sporting director Fabio Paratici reportedly wanted Juventus to sack Andrea Pirlo, leading to an argument with Vice-President Pavel Nedved.

Pirlo was confirmed yesterday and will be in the dugout when Juventus travel to Sassuolo on Wednesday, as the Bianconeri managers met to discuss the coach’s future.

Sporting director Fabio Paratici reportedly wanted Juventus to sack Andrea Pirlo, leading to an argument with Vice-President Pavel Nedved.

Pirlo was confirmed yesterday and will be in the dugout when Juventus travel to Sassuolo on Wednesday, as the Bianconeri managers met to discuss the coach’s future.

Vice-President Nedved later confirmed Pirlo and Cristiano Ronaldo ‘will stay at Juventus’, when approached by satirical television show Striscia la Notizia.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Paratici and Nedved were the protagonists of a loud discussion in the parking lot at Continassa.

Paraticic reportedly suggested to sack the former midfielder after the 3-0 defeat to Milan and giving Igor Tudor the position for the remainder of the season.

But Nedved had a different opinion and was backed reportedly backed by football director Federico Cherubini and ready to continue with President Andrea Agnelli’s choice to count on Pirlo.
