Sampdoria are working hard to try and secure Daniele Rugani on loan from Juventus but the defender has reportedly asked for a few days to reflect on the move.

The Bianconeri are looking to shift the 28-year-old Italian centre back this month as he’s not been included in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans in Turin for the upcoming campaign. Over the last few years, Rugani has spent time on loan with Stade Rennais and Cagliari, but last season he featured intermittently in Turin.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Sampdoria have already agreed the terms of a loan deal with Juventus, which would see the two clubs split Rugani’s €3m net per season salary, and now just need the green light from the defender.

Rugani has asked the Blucerchiati for a few days to consider his options, leaving the interested Hellas Verona and Empoli on high alert. Galatasaray are also keen on a move for the Italian centre back, but he wants to stay in Serie A.
