Multiple reports in Italy claim that Juventus opened talks to sign Jean Clair Todibo after UEFA blocked the Frenchman’s transfer to Manchester United.

According to all Italian sports papers, Juventus are interested in OGC Nice defender Todibo and have opened preliminary talks with the French club.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Nice’s asking price is around €40m, the same transfer fee they agreed to with Manchester United. As per Corriere dello Sport, Juventus can strike a deal for circa €35m.

UEFA have recently blocked Todibo’s move to Old Trafford under multi-club ownership rules.

OGC Nice owners Ineos have a minority stake in the Red Devils and even if both clubs were allowed to compete in the Europa League next season, Todibo was banned from joining United.

Juventus and Nice directors are on good terms, having recently reached an agreement for Khephren Thuram’s transfer. The French midfielder is expected to undergo his medical with the Bianconeri next week.

Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior is also on Juventus’ agenda, but according to Gazzetta and Corriere dello Sport, he’s the Old Lady’s ‘Plan B’ even if the Poland international already played under Thiago Motta at Spezia.
