Rick Karsdorp is destined to leave Roma this month after his public fracture with the club and Juventus have opened a new round of talks for the Dutchman.

The 27-year-old right back was accused by coach Jose Mourinho of being unprofessional before the World Cup break, leading to a total relationship breakdown between player and coach. A group of Roma ultras confronted Karsdorp outside his home in Rome, prompting him to leave the city and return to the Netherlands. He did not join Roma for their mid-season training retreat in Japan.

As reported by TMW, Roma are willing to let Karsdorp leave for around €10m this month, looking to send him away either in a definitive sale or a loan deal with an obligation to buy clause attached.

Juventus have been thinking about the Dutchman for a while now and have opened a new round of talks to try and agree a deal. The Old Lady only value the 27-year-old at around €5m, however, so the two clubs will need to negotiate if they’re to complete a transfer this month.
