Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli met with Federico Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani today to start negotiations over a new contract.

The 26-year-old Italian winger has less than two years left on his current deal in the Piedmont capital and the club are not keen to enter the next summer transfer window without protections in place.

Chiesa has recovered from the severe cruciate ligament injury he suffered last year and started the new term well, netting four goals and providing one assist in the opening five games. He only came off the bench against Milan after suffering a muscle injury earlier in the month.

As reported by Pasquale Guarro of Calciomercato.com, Juventus directors Giuntoli and Giovanni Manna met with agent Ramadani at the Palazzo Parigi hotel in Milan today to start exploring a new contract for Chiesa.

The Italian winger currently earns around €5m net per season and the goal is to extend his deal and bump his salary a little.
