Juventus star Arek Milik didn’t take part in this morning’s training session at Continassa due to a muscle problem.

The Poland international was not involved in this morning’s training session on the eve of a crucial Champions League match against Maccabi tomorrow.

He didn’t train on the pitch, but only worked in the gym due to muscle fatigue.

Juventus have lost two games from two in Europe and are desperate for a win which would keep their qualification hopes alive.

Milik is one of Juventus’ best scorers this season, with four goals in seven appearances across all competitions, including one in the Champions League against Benfica last month.

Football Italia understands Milik’s muscle problem should not be too serious, but Max Allegri will provide the latest updates on the striker’s availability during a pre-match press conference at the Allianz Stadium today at 14.00 UK time.

Milik, 28, joined Juventus from Marseille in the summer on loan with an option to buy for €7m.

A former Napoli striker, Milik scored 48 goals in 122 games during his four years and a half spell in Naples.
