Juventus are not only focused on the future of Cristiano Ronaldo as the Old Lady has reportedly been offered a swap deal between Aaron Ramsey and Ruben Neves, while Tottenham have opened talks to sign Weston McKennie.

Juventus have a few busy days ahead with Jorge Mendes in Turin to discuss the future of his star client Cristiano Ronaldo who is pushing to leave Turin.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Carlo Laudisa, the meeting between Mendes and Juventus is ongoing and the Portuguese agent has offered a swap deal involving Aaron Ramsey and Ruben Neves.

Ronaldo to Manchester City: live updates and what we know so far

Ramsey has been struggling with injuries and has never played more than two entire games in a row since he’s joined Juventus.

He moved to Turin on a free transfer from Arsenal in 2019 and Mendes’ offer could be a way to convince Juventus to sell Ronaldo to Manchester City on a free transfer.

The Bianconeri want at least €25m to sell CR7, while City don’t want to pay a penny to sign the former Manchester United and Real Madrid ace.

The Serie A giants have already signed Manuel Locatelli in midfield, but could welcome a new player in the middle of the park if one or more of their players leave.

Weston McKennie is on the market and according to The Independent, Tottenham have talked to the Bianconeri over a potential €46m move for the American midfielder.

However, according to previous reports in Italy, the Bianconeri are open to selling McKennie for just €25-30m. Juventus have also been linked with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Axel Witsel who was offered to the Bianconeri as he only has one year left in his contract with the Bundesliga giants.

5 thought on “Juventus offered Neves-Ramsey swap, Spurs open McKennie talks”
  1. Witsel at this stage? I don’t think he is a real addition to Juventus. He had the chance in the past and chose somewhere else. McKennie 46m? lol, if he leaves for more than 20m I would be surprised. Juventus mercato is terrible honestly

  2. Hmmmn … so Wolves are ready to take Ramsey .. and Juve inturn should be agreeable to sell Ronaldo for free to Man City 🤔🤔 how is this helping Wolves .. any underhand deal with Mendes??

  3. Politics is killing Juventus. Good players are forced out because of the dressing room friction.

This has never been the case at Turin until Cristiano arrived. He divided the dressing room with his selfish personality.

McKennie is paying the price for being close to him which is a pity because I like McKennie.

Finally, Neves for McKennie is a steal for Juve and they shouldn’t hesistate if true. Witsel is done for, he can’t even start over Tielemans for Belgium. Ramsey’s contract should be terminated if he fails to find a suitor by window end.

  4. Ramsey for Neves seems too good to be true. Neves has other suiters who would pay for him; it seems unlikely his club would swap him for Ramsey. McKennie added an important dimension to Juve’s midfield: he actually runs. I was a fan, even if he’s unlikely to be world class. Juve need someone with his qualities. Locatelli plays a different role, Arthur is injured and adds little tactically, and Betancur is inconsistent and generally looks lost.

  5. McKennie is a terrific young talent and a positive person in the locker room. He brings speed, athleticism, strength, enthusiasm, and a nose for goal to a midfield that has shortages in all of those areas. Bringing in Pjanic would only make the midfield older and slower than it already is. Do we really need to send Fabio Paratici a present for all that he’s done for (or is it “to”) Juventus?
