After Manchester United failed to agree personal terms with Adrien Rabiot, Juventus reportedly offered them Weston McKennie instead, but the Premier League side was not interested.

The Bianconeri had accepted the fee of €20m plus bonuses to sell France international Rabiot.

However, Manchester United then baulked at the €10m per season salary demands, plus the commission that mother and agent Veronique Rabiot was requesting.

Talks were therefore terminated with Rabiot this afternoon.

According to The Telegraph and Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus had tried to propose McKennie to the Old Trafford club, but they were not interested in the United States international.

Instead, United are looking at Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro or Lazio‘s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Juve need to sell at least one of their midfielders in order to make room for new signing Leandro Paredes from PSG, otherwise they cannot pick up the Argentina international.

Arthur Melo is the other player they would like to release, but Valencia are not prepared to sign him on loan and pay more than 30 per cent of his salary.

7 thought on “Juventus offered McKennie to Manchester United after Rabiot block”
  1. Utd might have smelt the coffee. Never buy stale beans from another loser club. The recipe will not be any better. McKennie has had a few years with PhD Max and never been the same again.

  2. I have a feeling that Veronique Rabiot will pay some team to get her son with such demands. He’s nothing more than an average midfielder.

  3. I would buy Rabiot immediately! Look at the Inter midfield! He’s the perfect final piece of Marotta’s master plan!!! Lord Marotta, buy me a Rabiot as a Sanchez substitute!
