Reports are growing that Roberto Firmino will leave Liverpool this summer, with Juventus offering €22.6m for the striker (circa £19m).

The Corriere dello Sport suggests the Bianconeri are diving in for the Brazilian, who can cover a few different roles.

Juve are looking for a striker who could play with Dusan Vlahovic, but also as his replacement in certain matches.

Alvaro Morata remains the first choice, but Firmino is quickly emerging as a real contender for the spot in Turin.

His contract with Liverpool only runs to June 2023 and his playing time will be limited following the arrival of Darwin Nunez at Anfield this summer.

Firmino turns 31 in October and last season contributed 11 goals with five assists in 35 competitive appearances for the Reds.

The Corriere dello Sport also suggests that Firmino is aware of the negotiations and in favour of a move to Juventus so he can prepare for the 2022 World Cup with Brazil.

He’d be working with several other new signings at Juve, including Angel Di Maria, Paul Pogba and Gleison Bremer.

  1. @Mark Indeed. @FORZA Juve The guy won the champions league. You want us to sign Mbappe or something? Or anyone older than 21 is to old right?

  2. Firmino at that price is a bit rich. He’s no longer a regular at Liverpool for a reason. He has lost some zip. But that’s not an issue for Allegri, who likes veterans.

  3. Bobby should think very carefully about this. He is not 6ft plus, therefore defence is out of the question. He is an attacking midfielder/striker. Neither one of those roles suits Flinstone Max. That only leaves him with the register role. Maybe he can read the same book Pogba is now studying entitled Ancient Ball, how PhD Max revolutionised the modern game.

  4. i love how optimistic some of the people are here,
champion by december?? did you guys actually even watch juve play?
the moment they faced some decent opposition it was just crawling back do nothing and hope to keep the 0.coward tactic working perfectly against team with low quality, but good teams you just barely win. next season wont be any difference if you play like this

  5. @someone I watched the whole friendly with Juve vs Barca and we actually did pretty good, besides the mistakes defensively. When we had the ball in their half we always looked dangerous and had more ideas then last season. Di Maria makes a huge difference and I was really impressed with Locatelli and Bremer. You have to remember that this are friendlies and the players don’t want to tackle to hard as everyone wants to stay away from injuries. I think we can live without Pogba for two months though. We will see how ready we are on August 15th.
