The instrumental tests for Matthijs de Ligt have ruled out any injuries but the Juventus centre-back is not certain to be back in action against Zenit St Petersburg.

Juventus were sweating over De Ligt’s conditions, as he was ruled out of the match against Roma with a problem in the left adductor.

But the instrumental tests haven’t revealed any serious injuries and the defender carried out personalised work on the pitch today.

Tuttomercatoweb reports, however, that the Dutch defender is in doubt for the Champions League match against Zenit on Wednesday.

Juventus travel to Russia with five win on the bounce and sit first in Group H with six points from the first two games against Malmö FF and Chelsea.

The Bianconeri have kept two clean sheets and scored four goals in the process.
