The Bianconeri have been pushing to bring the Serbian international to Turin in recent days, as they need midfield reinforcements following Paul Pogba’s departure.
It was thought the player was keen to make the move to Serie A, but Conte was determined to keep him at Stamford Bridge.
Now Gianluca Di Marzio’s website is reporting that the former Juve Coach has spoken to Matic and convinced the player to stay in London.
