After Aaron Ramsey and Arthur, now Rodrigo Bentancur is the latest Juventus midfielder to be linked with a Premier League move to Aston Villa.

According to Mail Sport, initial talks have already begun between the two clubs for a January deal.

Bentancur is not always first choice under Max Allegri in Turin and the Uruguay international has caught the eye of Villa manager Steven Gerrard.

The 24-year-old has made 25 competitive appearances for Juventus so far this season, contributing three assists.

He was signed as part of the original Carlos Tevez deal, given a transfer value of €15.7m plus bonuses when making the move from Boca Juniors in 2017.

Bentancur’s current contract with Juventus runs to June 2024 and he would be available at the right price.

Similarly, some of his Juve teammates have also been linked with the Premier League in January.

Arthur is wanted by Arsenal, while outcast Ramsey is reportedly close to joining Crystal Palace.
