Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport claim that Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli will soon meet Dusan Vlahovic’s agent to discuss a contract extension and avoid replicating the issues that led to Federico Chiesa’s exit this summer.

Juventus want to offer their star Vlahovic a new contract, and Giuntoli will open preliminary talks with the striker’s representative, Darko Ristic, between the end of September and the start of October.

Vlahovic’s deal at the Allianz Stadium runs out in June 2026, but his salary has increased to €12m per season, including add-ons, and Juventus need to lower his wages to keep costs under control.

Gleison Bremer is the highest-paid player in Turin after Vlahovic, with a salary of €6m per season.

Juventus prepare meeting with Vlahovic to avoid replicating Chiesa’s issues

Negotiations won’t necessarily be easy as Juventus will offer Vlahovic to take a pay cut and spread his salary onto a longer contract with bonuses.

However, Gazzetta and Tuttosport claim that Vlahovic is happy at the club and is on good terms with Thiago Motta so the Bianconeri are confident that the striker will listen to their proposal.

Tuttosport highlights that Juventus want to avoid replicating the same issues that led to Chiesa’s exit this summer.

The Old Lady had opened preliminary talks with the Italian winger but never made a formal offer to extend as Chiesa was unwilling to take a pay cut.

He was not part of Motta’s plan so he trained separately for the whole summer, joining Liverpool for €13m plus add-ons at the end of the transfer window.
