Juventus are still dreaming of a move for Porto’s Supertaca hero Wenderson Galeno, and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is reportedly prepared to offer the Portuguese outfit one of the Old Lady’s current defenders in an attempt to sweeten the deal.
Juventus could include loanee in Galeno talks
According to Sunday’s reports, Juventus are considering offering Porto Tiago Djalo on loan in order to complete a deal for Galeno.
The Porto winger grabbed a brace for his current club in a remarkable 4-3 comeback victory over rivals Sporting CP in the Portuguese Supertaca on Saturday. Porto had been trailing by three after just 24 minutes.
Galeno has a hefty release clause included in his current contract with Porto, reported to be worth €60m. Juventus, however, are attempting to negotiate a more realistic fee in the region of €30m-€40m.
The Bianconeri had considered a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi in their search for a new attacker, but he now looks set to stay on in the Bundesliga for now.
La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that Francesco Conceicao is also still an enticing option for the Bianconeri.
Juve’s need for attacking reinforcements has intensified over the weekend, after Thiago Motta confirmed that Italy international Federico Chiesa is not in his plans heading into the start of the 2024-25 Serie A season.
