Adrien Rabiot is not distracted by the thought of returning to Paris Saint-Germain next summer, noting that he’s ‘focused on Juventus and France’.

The 28-year-old French midfielder looked as if he could leave Turin on a free transfer at the end of last season before ultimately putting pen to paper on a new one-year deal, worth around €7m net per season.

Rabiot has already played every available minute under Massimiliano Allegri this season, scoring in Juventus’ opening win over Udinese last month.

Speaking to L’Equipe via TMW after France’s Euro 2024 qualifier win over Ireland, Rabiot was asked if he was thinking about a return to PSG in the near future.

“No, at the moment I’m not thinking about that at all. I’m focused on Juventus and France, I’m happy with what we did tonight, then we’ll see what happens.”

He then spoke about how it felt to play in the Parc des Princes, PSG’s home stadium.

“I grew up in this stadium, I played a lot of games there and lived a good part of my career as a youngster. It is always a pleasure to come back and play in this stadium.”

Rabiot joined PSG as a teenager in July 2010 and spent two years in the youth system before being promoted to the first team, where he made 227 appearances across all competitions.

His time in the French capital came to a rather acrimonious end in the summer of 2019, having been frozen out of the squad for his last six months at the club.
