Juventus will be forced to change their transfer strategies in January after Federico Chiesa’s injury, so Dejan Kulusevski is expected to stay in Turin and a new striker could move to the Allianz Stadium.

Chiesa has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ACL tear.

The 24-year-old sustained an injury against Roma yesterday and Juventus have confirmed that their star will undergo surgery in the coming days.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus have blocked Dejan Kulusevski’s potential exit in January as the Swede is one of the possible replacements for Chiesa.

Conte’s Tottenham forced to change transfer strategy after Chiesa’s injury

Tottenham are interested in signing the player and Juventus were looking for a sale in the region of €30-35m before Chiesa’s injury.

However, according to the report, Juventus have made one more decision and it’s to sign a new striker in the winter transfer window.

Club directors and coach Massimiliano Allegri will discuss whether to sign a new winger or a centre forward, but Juventus will likely bring a new face in Turin in January.

The Serie A giants must deal with a tight transfer budget and can only sign players on a free transfer or on loan with an option to buy.

  1. The best decision we can make is to horse whip and sack everyone on the medical team. This is not normal having so many injuries and multiple recurring cases plus at the same time. I get that Milan have the same issues but some of their players like Zlatan and Giroud are old. I expect this with our great capitano given his age as well. However Chiesa was just coming back from injury, Danilo is out and Dybala has been given the Ramsey curse. These are young men and in their prime yet are dropping like flies. Sack the medical team and get a new team in immediately!!!

  2. Shut up. What medical team has to do with opponent players tackling juve star players multiple times? He went out in 20th minute, they knocked him on the ground 3 times before that without judge even calling a foul. If it was messi, there would be yellow cards.

Italy’s problem is they dont respect nothing, even their own values. Sometimes that is advantage, sometimes a problem

  3. ‘Italy’s problem is they dont respect nothing, even their own values. Sometimes that is advantage, sometimes a problem’?????????

    What does that mean?

  4. lol Damir you really no nothing about football do you. First you bring up Icardi who hardly plays for his club these days, has baggage and is less mobile then Morata. Midfielders is what we lack and quality ones is what we need. No reinforcements will arrive genius as we still cannot sell. Z is correct as the medical team need a closer look into. You must think that the game is just blow the whistle and kick ball. There is so much work and detail that goes in behind the scenes. It is true that Chiesa and many of our players get injured too frequently even after just coming back. This has happened to Chiesa and Dybala since last year and keeps continuing. We even look lethargic on the field as compared to Inter who are playing with higher intensity levels. Barella runs all day and has a lithium battery. I agree are the mdecial missing something, what is happening in training and are they being rushed back too quickly. This does include what happened with Chiesa against Roma but in general if looking at the last two years.

  5. Damir must be gen Z. They grew up watching players get yellow cards for simply breathing on Messi. In fact, I think one of the problems with contemporary football is precisely that prima donnas get to waltz around the pitch as untouchables.

Now to the point: ACL injuries don’t happen after a series of knocks. It’s a one time incident. When it tears it tears (or partially tears) and there is immediate pain and you can’t continue. It’s not a progressive injury. More to the point, Chiesa’s ACL tear happened with no contact, when he was trying to turn. Ironically, it seems more of these tears happen this way, with no contact. See Kjaer’s similary moment of injury.

Wishing Chiesa a speedy and successful recovery. As much as I hate Juventus the club I never wish to see athletes suffer physical injuries, and Serie A and La Nazionale are better off with Chiesa on the pitch. Forza Enrico.

  6. Strange. I saw a different Juve in the second half vs Roma yesterday, if only they could play like that from the start of the game. Locatelli in midfield was different, pushing forward and encouraging his teammates to do the same. I saw someone finally trying to become a leader in their midfield. I wonder if Allegri saw this also and will allow him to express himself and approach games in this fashion.
