Juventus had hoped to put their injury woes behind them but medical tests confirmed a frustrating muscle injury for striker Arkadiusz Milik.

The 28-year-old Polish forward pulled up in the final minutes of the 2-0 loss to Monza, clutching his left thigh and looking pained. The former Napoli man has done well in Turin since arriving on loan from Olympique Marseille in the summer, scoring eight goals across 23 appearances for the Bianconeri.

As confirmed by Juventus, medical tests today confirmed that Milik has suffered a medium-degree injury to one of the hamstring muscles in his left thigh. The Pole will undergo a new round of tests in two weeks’ time to determine how long he’ll be forced to the sidelines.

The injury is a serious blow for Massimiliano Allegri and Juventus, who could be without the 28-year-old for around six to eight weeks.

The Old Lady have just recovered star duo Paul Pobga and Dusan Vlahovic, giving them a little more creativity and firepower.
