Juventus are reportedly planning to try and sell Dusan Vlahovic in the coming January transfer window as they look to fund a deal for Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface.
The 23-year-old Serbian striker has been the centre of attention in the Piedmont capital in recent months, with many hoping to see a decisive campaign from a player who has struggled to live up to his €80m price tag.
Juventus have also been looking to negotiate a new contract with Vlahovic, whose salary will rise to €12m net per season in July. The club have been hoping to spread his wages over a longer deal, but talks have not produced a result yet.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport via TMW, Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli will try to find a buyer for Vlahovic in January, possibly selling the Serbian striker to a club in the Premier League.
Should the 23-year-old be shipped off, the club would look to make a move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Boniface, who has shined this season, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists across 21 matches. The Nigerian forward has an estimated market value of around €40m.
Giuntoli has been following Boniface since his time at Union Saint-Gilloise, believing he’d be a great addition to Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
So they’d sell Vlahovic to sign a player who will be at the African Cup of Nations for a month? Don’t be thick.
