Juventus have opened talks for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria.

The Bianconeri are looking to strengthen their midfield in this transfer window, with coach Massimiliano Allegri unhappy with the current state of the department, especially considering the imminent departures of Arthur and Aaron Ramsey.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Juventus have opened talks with the 25-year-old Zakaria, whose contract expires with Borussia Monchengladbach at the end of this season. The Swiss midfielder has already expressed his desire to leave the Bundesliga club at the end of the campaign, but the Turin side are keen to speed things up a little.

Various clubs are interested in signing Zakaria, including Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Roma and some clubs in the Premier League. Due to this competition, the Bianconeri are interested in securing the Swiss midfielder’s signature in this month’s transfer window.

Juventus are now seriously considering working to sign the player this month and in recent days they’ve opened talks for the Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder, appreciating his quality and the low-cost nature of the deal.

  1. I would prefer Tchouameni, but this guy will do for now. Very good. He dominated Switzerland’s midfield vs Italy. I just don’t have faith in Juve’s current management to pull it off
