According to Tuttosport, Benfica’s Alejandro Grimaldo and Borussia Dortmund’s Raphael Guerreiro are among Juventus’ options to replace Alex Sandro in January.
The Brazilian left-back sees his contract expire in June 2023 and the Bianconeri are unwilling to offer an extension following unconvincing performances over the last few seasons, which do not justify the Brazilian’s status as one of the highest earners at the club.
According to Tuttosport, the Serie A giants want to sign a new left-back in the January transfer window and both Grimaldo and Guerreiro are on their radars.
Both players’ contracts also run out in June, so the Bianconeri hope to reach an agreement with them before entering talks with their clubs in January, trying to secure their signatures for a low price.
Grimaldo’s Benfica can eliminate Juventus from the Champions League group stage, so it is unlikely that the Portugal international will move to the Allianz Stadium if the Bianconeri drop to Europa League.
In that case, Juventus would try to secure a deal for June.
Max Allegri also needs reinforcements in defence and Evan Ndicka (Eintracht Frankfurt) is one of the players with an expiring contract monitored by the club.
No offence or disrespect to FI but this topic irritates me tremendously. Want two names? Cambiaso and Pellegrini.
The incompetence of management AND more importantly ownership is absolutely shocking.
Nothing gonna happen but if you wait a few minutes there will be an obssessed guy talking about A.Sandro – R.Carlos and how Allegri is the master of slow ball…
They are never after the ‘right’ player. They are always signing players who are close to the end of their contract, or not getting enough playing time at their club, or are useless but cheap!!!! Isn’t this precisely how they have ended up with a bunch of misfits ???? Seems like stupidity runs deep in the veins of the current management!!!
