Udinese and Italy Under-21 talent Destiny Udogie has emerged as the favourite left-back reinforcement for Juventus.

The Bianconeri are known to be seeking a replacement for Alex Sandro, even if the Brazilian might not necessarily be moving on this summer.

Several names have been mentioned in the Italian press, including Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri, who is currently on loan at Olympique Lyonnais.

According to Calciomercato.com, Udogie is the new prime candidate to bolster Max Allegri’s squad in Turin.

Udinese must first make the move a permanent one from Hellas Verona at a cost of €5m, but his value on the transfer market has since practically trebled.

The 19-year-old had a very strong campaign, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 35 Serie A appearances for Udinese.

He also has four caps for Italy at Under-21 level and was one of the young players brought in by senior Italy coach Roberto Mancini for evaluation this week.

Although Udogie’s parents are originally from Nigeria, Destiny was born and raised in Verona.

  1. PhD Max awaits to deal with him like he did with Frabotta and the inevitable outcome of Pellegrini.

  2. Please for Italia’s sake don’t. allegri will destroy your career, kid. We might need you in the NT someday. Go find another team with a decent coach, you have a good tomorrow ahead you.
