There are reports Juventus have offered tactically versatile Dejan Kulusevski on loan to Milan for the rest of the season after he turned down Everton.

According to Calciomercato.com, transfer pundit Nicolò Schira and others, the plan is taking shape after Juve decided the Swede could leave on loan and not just on a permanent transfer.

There could also be an option to buy in the deal if he was to join the Rossoneri for the rest of this season.

Kulusevski had been linked with Everton, but it’s reported he turned down the proposal along with a couple of other bids from abroad, preferring to continue his career in Serie A.

Having impressed on loan at Parma, Juventus purchased Kulusevski from Atalanta in January 2020 for €35m.

He has struggled to make an impact in Turin, shuffled around in a variety of positions and tactical systems under different coaches.

So far this season, the 21-year-old has scored two goals and three assists in 27 competitive appearances, most of them off the bench.

Moving to Milan would enable him to work with fellow Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic and replace Samu Castillejo, who is on the way out of San Siro.

Kulusevski has been largely used on the right wing, but has said many times his preferred role is behind the strikers, where the Rossoneri have been struggling with Brahim Diaz’s poor form.

  1. Whoa, lending one of your stars to a rival…. Juve out to stop their main rivals, Serie A going to the wire like I said!!!

  2. This came out of nowhere. I’m just wondering if Juventus would do that? Giving an important player to a rival when they’re fighting for CL places?

He is the “type” of player we’ve been after for some time. Left-footed winger/attacking midfielder. His form this season has not been the best but he’s talented. I would totally welcome his arrival. Definitely an upgrade to Diaz and possibly to Messias and Saelemaekers, too.

  3. Juventus is feeling generous after getting the biggest prize (Vlahovic)? I would welcome him with open arms, but is this piece of news reliable? Since practically Juve would be strengthening a direct rival for CL spot too.. or does Juve hate Inter so much, and they believe Milan would be able to overtake them? Interesting.

  4. Too good to be true for Milan. I think Kulusevski would be very suitable as their right winger. Under Pioli, he might revive his career and could be another Leao on the right.

Not sure if this is really true or just rumour though. Why would Juve strengthen their main competitor for top-4? It’s unlikely that Napoli will crumble on the last day under Spalletti unlike last season. It’s either Atalanta or Milan who might lose their spot to Juve, it all depends on who can still perform despite injuries.

I personally would like to see what happened with Juventus if they do not qualify for UCL next season, after spending all that money for Vlahovic, Chiesa, Kulusevski and Locatelli (more than 150M oustanding payment according to transfermrkt)

  5. Either Juve stacking Milan to block Inter at back to back, or sending him to sabotage the team for a champions league place. Other playing checkers and Juve playing chess.

  6. i think that’s is a desperate act from juventus to prevent inter win the scudetto
back to back. if inter win the scudetto, it will have two stars on its jersey.
and i bet juve will do, literally everything to prevent that, including making an ally with milan.
well, of course enemy of my anemy is my friend….
even if it will make the champion league spot for next season at risk.

  7. Simply creating space in the roster or try to cash in on a player that didn’t meet the expectations. You seriously think Presidents and Directors are like bitter fans who don’t want certain teams to win and Juventus is actually thinking that Milan will win the league instead of Inter if they give them Kulu? Come on guys.
