Armand Traoré received his Juventus debut last week after an injury nightmare and “can see the light at the end of the tunnel.”

The former Arsenal defender picked up an injury in practically his first training session with the club and only got his first game, including friendlies, in Saturday's 1-1 with Roma.

“I didn't even expect to come off the bench, so I was very happy,” he told Juventus Channel.

“The first 20-25 minutes went well, then I was very tired, but the most important thing was to be without physical problems.

“Thankfully these first few months are over with now, because they really were not easy. Now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I hope to continue along this path.”

The Bianconeri certainly need Traoré during their current injury crisis and so he should get more playing time from now on.

“I am happy to be a part of this squad. I started taking Italian language lessons, so when I understand it a bit more, everything will be even easier.

“Even when I wasn't playing and watched the games from the stands, I noticed with great pleasure that the fans were very affectionate. They always cheer on the side right to the end and this is an important support network for those on the field.”

When asked if he thought this season would bring some real success for Juve, Traoré noted there was certainly the hunger for it.

“I hope so, as all the players and staff have great ambition. I really like this aspect, it marries with the plans of the club from the reconstruction of the team to the business aspect and the creation of a new stadium.”
