According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero regularly calls Kenan Yildiz following the Turkish starlet’s first Serie A goal against Frosinone.
Yildiz has recently been given regular playing time at the Allianz Stadium and scored his first Serie A goal in an away game at Frosinone on December 23, 2023.
According to Gazzetta, Del Piero congratulated the 18-year-old striker through a private Instagram message and then called him on the phone a few days later.
Del Piero is one of Yildiz’s idols and the Turkish starlet celebrates his goals by sticking his tongue out, like the former striker used to do.
According to Gazzetta, Del Piero and Yildiz are now in close contact and often talk after Juventus games.
Del Piero is Juventus’ all-time top goal scorer and the player with the most appearances in a black and white jersey.
Yildiz joined the Bianconeri’s youth sector in 2022 from Bayern Munich and has made his senior debut this season, scoring three goals in 13 appearances with Juventus’ first team.
