Juan Cuadrado missed Juventus‘ Serie A clash against Sassuolo with a minor muscle injury but should return in time for the Coppa Italia Final against Inter.

The Colombia international was forced to the sidelines in yesterday’s match against Sassuolo won 2-1 by the Bianconeri, who are now eight points clear of fifth-placed Roma.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri said yesterday that the former Fiorentina and Chelsea winger wouldn’t be available against Venezia next Sunday. “I hope he can return against Genoa,” the Tuscan tactician claimed.

Juventus are close to securing a top-four finish and still have a chance to win a trophy this season. They will face Inter in the Coppa Italia Final on May 11 and Allegri hopes the Colombian star will be available for the most important game of the season.

Cuadrado has recently extended his contract with Juventus until June 2023. The 33-year-old has played a key role at the Allianz Stadium this season, scoring five goals and delivering six assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.
