Juventus want to continue their working relationship with Danilo and are reportedly preparing to offer him a slightly longer contract.

The 31-year-old Brazilian full back has been a part of the Bianconeri squad since the summer of 2019, when he joined in a deal that saw Joao Cancelo move the other way to Manchester City. Since his arrival, Danilo has proven to be a flexible and reliable full back, featuring consistently under the various coaches he’s worked with.

As reported by Sportmediaset, Juventus are keen to renew Danilo’s contract for another year, pushing back the expiry date from 2024 to 2025. No official offers have been made yet but it’s likely that one will arrive in the coming months.

Danilo has made 118 appearances across all competitions for the Bianconeri since 2019, scoring five goals and providing seven assists. His tactical flexibility makes him a useful asset to Massimiliano Allegri and gives him more options at the back.

  1. are you kidding me – mans not a full back – he cant run up and down the wing – been 2yrs – and he cant play in a 3 man defence – the bazagli – one&one defender role

  2. @mohammed

    what are you smoking?

A fullback’s role is not to run up and down the flank but to defend.

Quit whining and looking for players to do something they’re not supposed to do, hence increasing your own stupid expectactions.

  3. I couldn’t have said it any better. All players must defend under the Allegrisaurus. That includes Dusan who is their finest offensive defender and he is loving every second of it. A main voice in the locker room and was a tea boy at the previous two clubs. Now on his way to legend status and he shall be known as Cafu Danilo.

  4. I like Danilo, but keeping him and losing Cuadrado seems wrong.

Yes Cuadrado’s level has dropped but so did everyone.

  5. @gigi, a full back definition is to go up and down the flanks like zambrotta, trent alexander arnold, lahm, a right back is a defensive option.

dont think you’ve read the article – contract renewal for 1 yr til – why would you give a full back who be 34yrs old another extention, he wont be first choice then and he be on the bench on a high salary – wouldnt you rather have that space for a young full back.

    Makes no sense your logic.
