Juventus’ first priority in the upcoming summer transfer window is to cash in on Denis Zakaria, who is currently on loan at Chelsea.

The 26-year-old Swiss midfielder joined the Blues on transfer deadline day last summer, signing on a €3m loan deal with a €34m total buy option attached. His time in West London initially started slowly, but decent performances against Manchester City and Dinamo Zagreb saw coach Graham Potter take note of the Juventus loanee.

Zakaria appeared in Chelsea’s first four games back after the World Cup break but has since been sidelined with a hamstring injury, keeping him out of action for around a month.

As highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are keen to cash in on Zakaria in the summer, giving them resources to help rebuild their squad. His market value is estimated to be around €15-20m.

The Swiss midfielder cost the Bianconeri around €10.1m back in January 2022 and they’re hoping he impresses enough with Chelsea in the coming months to earn a permanent move away in the summer.
