Reports from Spain suggest that Juventus are keen to make a move for Barcelona veteran Jordi Alba in the January transfer window.

The Bianconeri have suffered an incredibly poor start to the season, only picking up two wins from their opening seven games, and they’re hoping to add some key additions to the squad in the winter in order to fill some gaps in the squad. Current options in the left back role include Alex Sandro, Danilo and Mattia De Sciglio, none of whom are particularly convincing.

As reported by Sport, Juventus have set their sights on a January move for Alba, who has struggled for consistent minutes this season under Xavi. After a decade in Catalonia, the 33-year-old has started to slip down the hierarchies and has only made one La Liga start this season.

Barcelona are open to selling Alba leave on a loan deal, keen to shift his salary as two years still remain on his contract. Inter were keen on a move for the 33-year-old in the summer but ultimately a deal never materialised.
