Juventus-Inter: Thuram returns to where he grew up

Inter‘s upcoming game against Juventus is particularly significant for Nerazzurri striker Marcus Thuram, who will return to Turin, where he grew up when his father joined Juventus.

Thuram was born in Parma on August 6, 1997, and moved to Turin at four when his father Lilian signed for Juventus.

The 26-year-old will return to the capital of Piedmont on Sunday when his Inter side visit Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport highlights, Thuram grew up in the neighbourhood of Crocetta with his brother Khéphren who was only a few months old when their father joined Juventus. Marcus started playing football in Turin and, as he also revealed in a recent interview, it is where he fabricated his first childhood memories.

Thuram often visited Alessandro Del Piero’s home with his father and even celebrated the Old Lady’s Serie A titles at the old Stadio Delle Alpi.

On Sunday he will cross paths with the son of another Serie A legend and a former teammate of his father Lilian, Federico Chiesa, son of Enrico, an ex-Parma star.

Chiesa spoke about Thuram in an interview released by Juventus on X, saying they have a picture together as kids.
