Multiple reports in Italy claim Juventus are in talks to extend Samuel Iling-Junior’s contract.

The former Chelsea starlet made his Serie A debut against Empoli last week and was introduced in the final minutes of their 4-3 loss against Benfica in the Champions League on Tuesday, delivering an assist for Arek Milik.

Goal.com’s Romeo Agresti and Sky Sport Italia now claim that the Bianconeri are in talks with the player’s entourage to extend his contract.

The current deal runs out in June 2023 and the Bianconeri want to extend it until 2025 or 2026. Talks between the two parties are ongoing. According to Agresti, ‘optimism and confidence are increasing’ regarding Iling-Junior’s contract extension.

Iling-Junior has scored three goals in six Serie C games this season. The 19-year-old is a permanent part of the NextGen squad, Juventus’ second team, playing in Italy’s third division. However, he is expected to be soon promoted to the senior team.

Iling-Junior has one goal in seven appearances with England’s U19 squad. He joined Juventus in the summer of 2020 after failing to sign his first professional contract with Chelsea.

  1. He won`t play ahead of Kostic until he learns to defend, track back, calm down, slow down and back back down.

Lord Hexagon will make sure he won`t mindlessly attack like yesterday and will ensure he feels the pressure.

  2. wasnt the u23 team made to create italian players? english players already get enough promotion.

  3. PhD Max will think otherwise. He was not meant to go full throttle and whip crosses in. A bit of CALMAAA!!! timeout with Roberto Carlos and he will soon learn the ways of Mission Impossible Max.
