La Repubblica reports that the Guardia di Finanza are continuing to dig through Juventus’ financial documents and have seemingly found €34m in undeclared debts.

The Italian financial police are looking at various documents from the Turin club, including balance sheets, private records and player sale and purchase agreements, closely examining them for any signs of wrongdoing.

Prosecutors Marco Gianoglio, Mario Bendoni and Ciro Santoriello are particularly interested in the undeclared €34m in debt, something that was briefly alluded to by Federico Cherubini in the recent hearing, where he admitted that “there’s €7m in debt with Atalanta that has never been entered in the balance sheet.”

Further proof of this came from an intercepted call involving Maurizio Arrivabene, who stated that “we know how much we owe Atalanta.”

At this stage of the investigation, it’s unclear where the €7m owed to Atalanta originated from, although a likely culprit is the Cristian Romero-Merih Demiral deal, when the Argentinian defender was sold to Atalanta for €17m in August 2021 before joining Tottenham in a deal worth €50m two days later.

Another deal under the magnifying glass is the sale of Dejan Kulusevski, who was mentioned in now-infamous ‘black book’.
